The Cell Injury SIG (Der Schadenklub) was created to give a forum for investigators studying how tissues respond to stress by cell death, repair, and remodeling. Our overarching mission is to develop a community of researchers interested in wound healing, biological stress responses, molecular chaperones, radiobiology, biomechanics, and biomedical engineering, as well as trauma and critical care medicine to promote the development of novel therapeutic strategies for pathological disorders.
Cell Injury meets once a year during the ASIP's annual meeting at a poster session and social networking event. Additionally, the group has its own listserv to facilitate communication among members and sponsors a mini-symposium at Experimental Biology featuring prominent and up and coming investigators in the area for cell injury.
The objectives of the Cell Injury Scientific Interest Group are:
ASIP Members are invited to participate in the Cell Injury SIG Listserv. Please email membership@asip.org to have your name and email address added to the listserv.
