The Monga Family Trainee Scholar Award Fund for Excellence in Neoplasia Research supports travel to the ASIP Pathobiology Meeting of an ASIP trainee member who submits an abstract to an ASIP topic category that includes data relevant to experimental studies in neoplasia.

This award is to honor the memory of the late Dr. Satwant Kaur Monga. Candidates for the Monga Family Trainee Scholar Award for Excellence in Neoplasia Research should submit an award application after submission of their abstract to the ASIP Annual Meeting. The awardee will be chosen by the ASIP Program Committee on the basis of excellence in neoplasia research.

Eligibility and Requirements:

  • Be an ASIP Trainee Member (Undergraduate Student, Pre-Doctoral Trainee, Post-Doctoral Fellow) in good standing at the time of application submission and through the dates of the conference.
  • Submit an abstract to Pathobiology 2025 by the established deadline.
  • The award applicant must be the first author of the abstract
  • Register for Pathobiology 2025 by the established deadline for awardees.
  • A current copy of your Curriculum Vitae (CV) or resume.
  • A Letter of Recommendation from your supervisor.
  • A copy of your submitted abstract.

Attendance during the full meeting is mandatory. The Trainee Scholar award will be rescinded if the awardee is not present.
