The Experimental Pathologist-in-Graduate Training (EPIGT) Award is a prestigious award presented to an ASIP graduate student in a PhD training program, MD/PhD training program, or MD training program and who has excelled in investigative efforts in studying the mechanisms of disease.

Applicants who apply for the EPIGT Award will also be considered for an EPIGT-Merit Award. Prior recipients of the EPIGT and EPIGT-Merit Awards may reapply if the work submitted is clearly distinct from the work previously submitted when the first award was given.  Consideration will not be given for continuation of the same project.

Eligibility Requirements and Required Supporting Documentation:

1. Be an ASIP Pre-Doctoral member in good standing at the time of application submission and through the dates of the meeting.

2. Submit an abstract to the Pathobiology 2024 Meeting to one (or more) ASIP Topic Categories by the established deadline.

3. Submit an extended research report (this report should not exceed 750 words nor include more than one table and one figure).

4. Submit a Letter of Recommendation from a supervisor, colleague, etc. attesting to the applicants work role and potential as a biomedical research investigator.

5. Submit a current copy of your Curriculum Vitae (CV).

6. Register for the meeting by the established deadline.

7. Attendance during the full meeting is mandatory. The Experimental Pathologist-in-Graduate Training (EPIGT) award will be rescinded if the awardee is not present.
