ASIP’s Mentored Meeting Program

ASIP’s Mentored Meeting Program

A Research and Networking Development Program for Trainees

Calling All ASIP Trainee Members

Do you enjoy mentoring young scientists?

As a Trainee, have you benefited from a relationship with your mentor?

Would you like the opportunity to provide the same benefit to a more junior researcher?

Are you attending the ASIP 2014 Annual Meeting at Experimental Biology in San Diego?

If you answered yes to the questions above, WE NEED YOU!!!

The Committee on Career Development, Women and Minorities (CCDWM) is sponsoring a “Mentored Meeting Program” designed to enhance the professional development of young professionals who attend the ASIP 2014 Annual Meeting.

The purpose of this mentorship program is to help trainees who are first-time meeting attendees maximize their experience at the ASIP 2014 Annual Meeting by guiding them to symposia, workshops, and special sessions and helping them network with members of the Society.

What will be expected from Meeting Mentors:

  1. Brief email and/or phone interaction with trainee(s) prior to the ASIP 2014 Annual Meeting to develop an itinerary and provide pre-meeting guidance.
  2. Initial face-to face meeting at the beginning of the ASIP 2014 Annual Meeting to help trainee(s) maximize their attendance at the meeting.
  3. Be available throughout the meeting to provide guidance.

Information on how to participate in this program will be forthcoming. If you have questions about this program, please contact Constanza Gonzalez.
