SIPMeT Awards:
SIPMeT Young Life Scientist Award
The Società Italiana di Patologia e Medicina Traslazionale is offering a limited number of Young Life Scientist Awards to young researchers (up to 40 years of age at the time of the Congress) for the best abstract presentation at the Congress. Awardees will receive a prize of € 500 (five hundred Euros).
A Committee will select the recipients based on the candidates' abstract presentation (oral or poster) at the Congress. Applicants must be a member of SIPMeT. The winner MUST be present at the awards ceremony or they will be excluded. All award recipients are required to mention the award in the "acknowledgements" section of any scientific publication containing the award winning abstract.
SIPMeT Travel Grants
The Società Italiana di Patologia e Medicina Traslazionale is offering a limited number of Travel Grants to young researchers (up to 40 years of age at the time of the Congress). Applicants must be a member of SIPMeT. Travel grants are reserved for non-tenured young investigators and will be assigned after the Young Life Scientists Awards.Awardees will receive a prize of € 200 (two hundred Euros).The winner MUST be present at the awards ceremony or they will be excluded.
SIPMeT Prof. Ettore Schiavone Higher Degree Thesis Award
The Società Italiana di Patologia e Medicina Traslazionale is offering an award for the best thesis on subjects related to the Society (General Pathology, Immunology, Clinical Pathology) by students who have graduated in Medicine and Surgery within the past two years. (Applicant must have graduated in Medicine and Surgery AFTER June 30, 2010). Awardees will receive a prize of € 1000 (one thousand Euros).
A Committee will select a recipient based on the candidate's thesis. The winner MUST be present at the awards ceremony or they will be excluded. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to
publish all or part of the thesis in the Proceedings of the Congress.
ASIP Awards:
ASIP Minority Trainee Travel Award
The American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP) in partnership with the FASEB MARC Program, is offering a limited number of ASIP Minority Trainee Travel Awards to ASIP trainee members who submit an abstract to the meeting AND who meet the special eligibility requirements that are dictated by the FASEB MARC Program. Requirements:
1. Trainee membership in ASIP
2. Meet the citizenship/residency requirements of the FASEB MARC Program
3. Submit an abstract to the XXXI National Congress by May 15, 2012
4. Submit an application for an ASIP Minority Trainee Travel Award by May 15, 2012
A.D. Sobel - ASIP Education Fund Scholar Awards to Attend the Società Italiana di Patologia e Medicina Traslazionale (SIPMeT) National Congress
The American Society for Investigative Pathology will provide a limited number of A. D. Sobel - ASIP Education Fund Travel Awards to ASIP trainee members who submit an abstract to the XXXI National Congress. Awardees will receive a $750 Travel Award.
ICPI Trainee Travel Awards to Attend the Società Italiana di Patologia e Medicina Traslazionale (SIPMeT) National Congress
ASIP Trainees are eligible to apply to the Intersociety Council for Pathology Information (ICPI) for $500 travel awards to attend the XXXI National Congress. Trainees who submit an abstract to the meeting are eligible for a $750 travel award.
