Biosketch:
Dr. Khvorova leads Dharmacon’s biology
R&D in the development of novel RNA interference technologies and translating
these technologies into robust and reliable research tools. Dr. Khvorova is a
nucleic acid Biochemist with over 10 years of academic and industrial experience
in molecular biology, target validation and therapeutics. Prior to joining
Dharmacon in 2001 she worked in the department of Regulated Gene Expression at
Amgen. Dr. Khvorova has a proven publication record, with more than 10 patent
applications and 20 published articles including recent publications in Cell,
Nature Biotechnology, and Nature. Dr. Khvorova received a B.S. in Biology
from Moscow State University in Russia and her Ph.D. from A.N. Bakh Institute of
Biochemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences, and held postdoctoral positions at
CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research), Temple University, and the
University of Colorado, Boulder.
