Membership Categories
 Regular Membership
Successful candidates for regular membership
have conducted, published, or supported the conduct of meritorious original
research in pathology or a related discipline, support the mission of the
Society, and hold a doctorate degree or have equivalent experience. Regular
members have the right to hold office and vote for officers of the Society.
Annual Dues for 2011: $182.00
(Includes online subscription for The American Journal of Pathology (AJP)
and The Journal of Molecular Diagnostics (JMD) with the option to upgrade
to include the print version.
Trainee Membership

A) Trainee Membership for Post-Doctoral
Students
Students
who were recently awarded a doctoral degree and who are pursuing an
additional degree in a separate program or occupy a post-doctoral fellowship
or residency position at an academic center, a hospital, a research
institution, or in industry and who support the mission of the Society are
eligible for post-doctoral trainee membership.
Annual Dues
for 2011: $50.00
(Includes online subscription for The American Journal of Pathology (AJP)
and The Journal of Molecular Diagnostics (JMD) with the option to upgrade
to include the print version.
B) Trainee Membership for Pre-Doctoral Students
Students who
are enrolled in a graduate program leading to a degree or dual degrees in
medicine, veterinary medicine, osteopathy, pathology, or a related
discipline and who support the mission and aims of the Society are eligible
for pre-doctoral trainee membership.
Annual Dues for 2011: $50.00

C) Trainee Membership for Undergraduate
Students
ASIP Trainee membership is available for students enrolled in an
undergraduate program and who support the mission and aims of the Society.

Associate Membership
Candidates for Associate membership support the mission and aims of
the Society but do not have a graduate degree or evidence of scholarly work
in pathology or a related discipline. Associate members are typically
technologists or science faculty of high schools and colleges.
Annual Dues for 2011: $85.00
