Compared to many scientific societies, the American Society for Investigative Pathology is relatively small (based upon membership numbers). However, despite our relatively small membership numbers, the ASIP membership is incredibly diverse based upon training, professional endeavors, and research interests. The diversity of our membership represents a real strength of our Society and presents our members with numerous opportunities to collaborate across fields and disciplines. While these opportunities are important, it is equally important for our members to be or become known within their own field, collaborate with others, and network broadly to identify new opportunities
