ASIP 2010 Summer Research Opportunity Program in Pathology (SROPP)
 

Looking for a Summer Research Opportunity in Pathology?

The American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP) has teamed up with FASEB Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC) and the Intersociety Council for Pathology Information (ICPI) to provide summer research opportunities in pathology for underrepresented minority students by providing financial support for students to visit, learn, and participate in new research in the mechanisms of disease at prominent research laboratories and institutions during the summer.  In addition to funding FASEB MARC provides to supplement and/or cover travel and subsistence, students that select a pathology mentor will receive an additional stipend of $2,500 at the end of the summer after submitting required documentation.

FASEB MARC provides:
Travel & living allowance to cover airfare, ground transportation, meals, lodging/housing and related expenses incurred during the student’s Summer Research program.
Travel support to submit and present an abstract at the Experimental Biology 2011 Meeting. Maximum allowance provided: $1,850.

ASIP provides:
In addition to funding FASEB MARC provides to supplement and/or cover travel and subsistence, students that select a pathology mentor will receive an additional stipend of $2,500 at the end of the summer after submitting required documentation.
