Program Description
Research Project
This laboratory studies the parasite Trypanosoma cruzi, the cause of Chagas disease, an important cause of heart disease in endemic areas and Latin America.
Projects include
Molecular biology of Trypanosoma cruzi
Trypanosoma cruzi and its relationship to adipose tissue and diabetes
Thromboxane and Trypanosoma cruzi infection
