Vascular and Mucosal Pathobiology Scientific Interest Group
ASIP established a new SIG related to vascular and mucosal pathobiology (VAMP). Establishing this SIG creates a great opportunity to promote among our members a web location for common, in-depth scientific discussions of ongoing work, published work, or chit-chat, sharing protocols and methods, and an incentive for new collaborations. We will be hosting our VAMP networking session at Experimental Biology 2013 on Tuesday, April 23 2013, 5:30-7:30 pm. This networking event will bring together scientists of all levels interested in vascular and mucosal inflammation in a relaxed atmosphere to meet old friends, make new friends, start collaborations or just discuss recent advances in the field. Snacks and drinks will be served. As a basis for this event abstracts submitted for the FASEB/ASIP 2013 conference describing exciting projects in the field of VAMP will be selected for poster presentation. Participation of trainees is especially encouraged. Presentation of a poster is not a prerequisite to attend.
For more information please contact Michael Schnoor or visit the VAMP homepage or our Facebook page. Furthermore, a representative of the VAMP SIG will be available in the ASIP office every day during the meeting after the morning sessions from around 11:30 to 12:00 to answer questions regarding the meeting and the SIG.
